There are moments when the world feels a little too fast.
In an age of constant movement, endless notifications, and increasingly demanding routines, people everywhere are searching for something simpler: a moment of calm, a connection with nature, and a daily ritual that brings balance back into their lives.
It was from this timeless human desire for wellbeing that Mild Earth was born.
Born in Sri Lanka, once celebrated across the ancient world as Ceylon, a land renowned for its spices, botanicals, and natural abundance, Mild Earth was created with a vision to share the island’s treasured wellness traditions with the modern world.
For centuries, Sri Lanka has held a deep relationship with nature. Its forests, spice gardens, and healing traditions have shaped generations of rituals centred around balance, nourishment, and harmony. Much of this wisdom has been quietly preserved within homes and communities, waiting to be rediscovered and shared.
Mild Earth was created to honour this heritage and transform it into contemporary wellness experiences that fit seamlessly into modern lifestyles.
The Ancient Ritual That Inspired Wild Mist Water
At the heart of Mild Earth’s journey is Wild Mist Water, a flagship wellness infusion inspired by one of Sri Lanka’s most cherished traditional rituals: warm kotthamalli, the beloved herbal brew made from coriander seeds.
For generations across the island, kotthamalli has been enjoyed as a comforting daily ritual. Traditionally prepared by gently brewing coriander, this soothing herbal drink has been valued for its warming character, refreshing qualities, and naturally occurring antioxidants.
It was this simple yet profound ritual, a cup prepared with care, shared with loved ones, and enjoyed during moments of rest, that became the inspiration behind Wild Mist Water.
Over time, our founder’s wellness brew was gently refined by pairing this cherished tradition with some of nature’s most treasured botanicals, including nigella seeds, cloves, cinnamon, rosemary, and lemongrass.
Through this harmony of heritage and nature, Wild Mist Water was born.
A refined expression of Sri Lankan wellness traditions, crafted to inspire moments of calm in everyday life.
Where Tradition Meets Modern Wellness
Wild Mist Water represents a bridge between generations, preserving the wisdom of ancient Sri Lankan botanical rituals while creating a wellness experience designed for today’s world.
Each blend is carefully crafted with six exquisite spices and botanicals, bringing together layers of aroma, flavour, and natural goodness. Naturally caffeine-free, Wild Mist Water offers a gentle alternative for those seeking a mindful beverage ritual at any time of day.
Whether enjoyed as a peaceful morning ritual, a refreshing pause during a busy day, or a calming evening companion while reading a book, Wild Mist Water is more than a beverage.
It is a moment of stillness.
A reminder to slow down.
A reminder to reconnect with nature.
A reminder that wellbeing is often found in the small rituals we return to every day.
The Meaning Behind Wild Mist
The name Wild Mist reflects the essence of the experience.
“Wild” represents the untouched beauty of Sri Lanka’s natural landscapes, the forests, spice gardens, and botanical treasures that have inspired generations.
“Mist” represents the gentle calm that surrounds these landscapes, the quiet mornings, the cool mountain air, and the peaceful moments when nature invites us to pause.
Together, Wild Mist represents a new chapter in Sri Lankan wellness, one that respects ancient traditions while creating something meaningful for the modern world.
Bringing Sri Lankan Wellness to the World
Mild Earth’s purpose extends beyond creating exceptional wellness products. It is about celebrating Sri Lanka’s rich botanical heritage and sharing its timeless wisdom with a global audience.
As the world embraces natural wellness, mindful living, and plant-based rituals, Mild Earth brings forward a tradition that has existed for generations, reimagined for today.
Because true wellness is not always found in complicated solutions.
Sometimes, it begins with returning to nature.
Sometimes, it begins with a cherished tradition.
And sometimes, it begins with a single mindful sip of Wild Mist Water.
Rooted in Ritual
Our founder, Sohan Jayasena, grew up surrounded by these small, powerful rituals — the kind passed down not through instruction, but through observation. A grandmother reaching for cloves when the air felt heavy. The smell of lemongrass drifting from a pot on the stove. Cinnamon stirred into warm water before bed.
These weren't remedies in the clinical sense. They were acts of care. Of slowing down. Of trusting that nature, used with intention, has always known what the body needs.
As Sri Lanka's ancient wellness traditions began to fade into the background of modern life, Sohan asked a simple question: What if we could bring this back — not as nostalgia, but as something you could reach for every day?
What Mild Earth Is
Mild Earth is a botanical wellness brand rooted in Sri Lankan heritage. We craft spice-infused blends designed to be part of your daily ritual — not a supplement you remember to take, but a moment you actually look forward to.
Each blend draws from ingredients that have been part of Sri Lankan life for centuries: lemongrass, cinnamon, clove, and a harmony of spices that have long been trusted for their warmth, their depth, and their quiet power.
Our four signature blends — Quiet Renewal, Gentle Revival, Pure Serenity, and Pure Stillness — are each an invitation to pause. To breathe. To return to yourself.
Why It Matters Now
We live in a world that moves fast and sells wellness loudly. Mild Earth is a different kind of offering. It is quiet by design. Grounded in place. Honest about what it is: a bridge between an ancient way of caring for yourself and the life you are living today.
Sri Lanka has always known how to heal gently. We are simply here to share that with the world.
Welcome to Mild Earth. We are glad you found us.
